Fall
Fall is the perfect time to smell the cool, crisp air and warm up by a cozy fire after a long day's hike.
Hike
A favorite time to hike, September and early October offer cooler nights and less bugs. Check out some fan favorites and plan a trip to Locator Lake or Cruiser Lake (only accessible by boat) or Echo Bay Trails or Blind Ash Bay Trails (both accessible by car). If you catch the season just right, you might be able to see the changing colors of the leaves. A sight that truly takes your breathe away.
Northern Lights and Dark Skies
You can see the aurora borealis any time of year but as the nights get longer and the days get shorter, chances of seeing them increase. You can track the lights using apps like “Aurora” to forecast their activity and make sure skies are clear.
